In the downtime before the holidays I was given the chance to create an animated Christmas card for Point Blank. I took this opportunity to play around with stop motion animation, something I had been wanting to try for a long time. We built a simple set out of cloth and plywood, and were able to create a cast of characters quite simply (given that they are chestnuts). The fire was done by stuffing various red and orange Christmas lights through a hole in the table, then moving them each frame. We were able to get some gorgeous shots using macro lenses, and had the office all contribute by doing voice recordings.
