HOW BARGAINING WORKS

The Health Science Association of British Columbia needed a member-facing video to explain the complex process of collective bargaining. HSA represents healthcare workers in a huge variety of roles and workplaces, which presented challenges when it came to portraying such a diverse union.

We developed a unique illustration style, along with a quirky cast of characters that represented the diversity of their union. To tell the story of bargaining specifically, we used the metaphor of an umbrella- something that protects you when you need it most, and also comes in many shapes and sizes depending on your needs. The video was incredibly well received by the client and members, and the characters went on to be featured in 3 subsequent HSA projects.
